GAP

With all the intention to go into town purely to get resources for Uni, I couldn't believe it when my I saw a GAP sign on my travels. This is partly because my eye sight is shocking but also because where I currently live for Uni, in Lincoln, it's pretty dire for shopping and lacks any choice.

Although it was only a small one I was pretty freakin' excited. I haven't been into a GAP store since I was very young. In my area back home they had a big store and many Saturday's were spent in there trawling through all the clothes and accessories.

Firstly,I love all the knit wear it's great quality and comes in nice vibrant colours. The casual wear is always thick, perfect for chilling in the winter and the bags are big and I think look more expensive than what they are. I still regularly use two GAP bags. Both are big (love big bags) one is an beautiful aqua blue colour and another I always think of as a winter bag because of the material. My point is I got these bags when I was a teenager and still use them a lot so a definite investment piece ladies!

Like Zara, GAP always has sort some of sale. I remember purchasing this mint green cardigan that was merino wool, so soft and I wore it all the time... until it got a massive hole in the arm and I was forced to part ways with it.

What I like about GAP is that it's great for basics. As the store in Lincoln has just opened everything is currently 40% so I thought it would be rude not to invest in a white and black vest top. Although, yes I could have gone straight to Primark for vest tops for a couple of quid but they never last long and sometimes you truly get what you pay for.

Here's a few things I think everyone should look out for!

Winter

I think everyone would agree that the UK is absolute blitz at the moment. I've always got excited for the winter season (boots, big coats..etc) so here's what I reckon would get me through the winter season.

I've previously mentioned this beaut in a previous post, re affirming how much I love it. I'm beginning to  lose count of the amount of faux fur coats/jackets/gilets I own. but it's an addiction. Worse than crack.

Maybe it's me getting older but this is so much more appealing than a dress right now. Had the softest baby blue onesie back at home but mysteriously vanished never to be seen again...anyway this one is by OnePiece, costs £119 and apparently made from 'super soft, premium cotton rich jersey'. Suddenly so reasonable.

Every girl needs a sturdy black boot for winter, pumps simply do not work for my feet. So many pairs out there on the high street these ones are from Urban Outfitters, will look great with skinny jeans or shorts and for more of an evening look paired with a skirt, dress or shorts(all of which paired with thick black tights of course).

Rachel Zoe

Adore this woman. She has great style which involves a lot of black, great accessories and is kinda boho chic that mixes vintage and designer. She's been in the fashion industry for a long time so knows her shit. I've watched her reality TV show The Rachel Zoe Project ever since it came out and she comes across as a great person too.

Anyone that hasn't watched her show already, catch up and get inspired!

love the long black maxi and heels
fell in love with this long sleeve black jumpsuit, must find one also as Rachel would say the wedges 'are to die'

Ivory fur is beautiful. New York Fashion Week.

If I had a million pounds....

So being a student obviously is no fun on the bank balance so I thought I'd share my selection of desired items, no limits.

 1.  This yellow gold Daytona Rolex. Rolex's are frequently seen on the likes of Petra and Tamara Ecclestone, daughters of billionaire F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, so are serious cash and start from around £1,500 to the sky....

I like the large round face and colour. My parents both own Rolex's and my mum can wear hers with literally any outfit. Classic and a great investment.

2. Obviously every girl knows that red sole. Christian Louboutin is just a freaking genius. Women have a lot to thank to this man for creating such a sexy and glamorous heel that I can only imagine would make you feel amazing. They're super high and come up a range of colours and styles so there's something for every girl!  To be honest, even a black bin bag would look okay when you've got your Louboutins on.

3. This third one is kinda a big deal. The Hermes Birkin bag. Every girl that knows her designer bags or celebrities even has seen this bag somewhere. I frequently see this bag on the likes of the Kardashian girls, Victoria Beckham, the Ecclestone sisters and many Hollywood actresses.  I feel like because of this it's lost a lot of its charm however it's still beautiful and would be a great investment piece for the future. Billionaire heiress, Tamara Ecclestone, is rumored to have a Birkin collection worth a cool half a million pounds whilst Victoria Beckham reportedly has 100 and counting and is worth £2 million....lime green jello.

4. Herve Leger dresses also very popular with the rich and famous. If I had to choose one I'd go for this one, it's cut is perfect and body con so would look great with some bright sky high heels or could be dressed down in some smart flats.

5. Last but not least this blue Celine bag I loooooooooooove it. The royal blue, the leather straps and the gold zip at the front is gorgeous. Although its blue so would be difficult to pair with lots of outfits I adore the colour and would wear with a plain outfit to let the bag shine.

Kim Kardashian

Anyone that knows me will know I have always been an avid fan of Keeping up with the Kardashians. I think they all look great, but love her or hate her, Kim's style has always stuck out for me, it's glamorous, sexy and she's never afraid to experiment.

Since she's got together with Kanye (yay, finally!) many people have pointed out that she's switched up her style. Some choices have left me unsure..but who cares, it's always about trying new things, seeing what works and what doesn't.

Here's Kanye and Kim in Italy for her 32nd birthday.I love the colour of the dress and I think the fit is great on her.The way her hair is lighter and pulled to the side is really pretty as well.

I think they both look really great here, love Kanye's denim shirt and Kim's dress is a cool fit, I also think it works well with her tan and her hair pulled back.

In Cannes, I've been there a couple of times in the summer (not really for me) personally, I love Kim's dress but the boots were wrong wrong wrong. I think a gold pair of heels would have worked a little better and Kanye's shoes make him look like he's set for a night in front of the sofa! Sorry Kimye.

Putting my opinions of style aside they both look very happy together and that's all that matters, I can't wait to see the wedding dress :)

This week

This was taken outside Uni for our Photography seminar, feeling goth that day bar the white trainers.

Thursday night before going out, Topshop Unique dress and New Look heels that are now a bit scuffed after a wild night out last month.

Possible new hair?

I love the girl's hair on the left it's wavy and a sexy caramel colour.

my style

Just realized that the first couple of pictures I uploaded were pictures of fur, says it all really, but yeah I'd say this is a summary of whose style I like.

Fur

I cannot resist a fur coat, like a black leather jacket I think they should be a staple in every girl's wardrobe.  Worn with a pair of leather leggings and some winter boots, also thrown over a little black dress on a night out with some heels really works well.

Last weekend I took a trip to see my beau in London and as usual fell in love with pretty much everything in Topshop

I found this beauty, tried it on and instantly fell in love but of course it was £250 and obscenely offensive to my student loan.

Another item I've been feeling is black leather trousers, worn with a colourful peplum top and a pair of skyscraper heels would look great
Please Santa....?

L'oreal lash serum

Hello!

So on my previous blog I was raving about this little gem and since this is my first blog entry on my brand new blog I felt it was only necessary to continue...

To cut a long story short after a horrific experience with cheap eyelash glue and a salon in Camberwell I ended up with virtually no eyelashes.

This then led to a long search of anything that could bring me my eyelashes back, a couple of days later I came across the product that would save me!

I started by applying this every night before I went to sleep and more than a year later I'm still using it, I'm also using the same bottle so lasts ages

I haven't heard of many girls using this product so get to Boots and grab some!

My fabulous lashes before they not so fabulously ruined my real lashes. Note to self: never pay £10.
