So with everything going on at the moment, I'm not very well, boyfriend issues I'm having a bit of a lip gloss crisis because although this should be at the very bottom of my list of priorities right now I'm a girly girl and simple enough, lip gloss makes me feel good.

A couple of years ago, (yes I'm obsessed) I was in Stansted airport on my way to meet my parents in St Tropez and came across a new Victoria's Secret Lip Plumper. I really liked the pink and silver packaging because it looked really shiny and pink and I'm always attracted to pink! It was about £12 which is obviously a bit steep for a lip gloss but I really wanted to give it a try.

As soon as I got out the shop and sat down waiting for my flight I tried it on my lips and things unraveled from there. You have to twist the bottom to get it to come through. It felt tingly but not in an uncomfortable way. Gradually I became obsessed with this product and raved about it to my older sister and Mum, I remember when I went out in my first year of Uni and moaning because I thought I had lost the best lip gloss ever and how much it cost me ha! It's got a lovely subtle pink colour and it lasted ages on my lips. So, basically I'm in love.

Anyway, the current crisis I have is that I've ran out and I'm not going away anytime soon where I'd be able to buy another. Anyone that has found their perfect foundation, blusher etc will feel my pain right now.

Have you tried this lip plumper?!

Essie nails

Back in November I brought my sister a lilac colouur Essie nail varnish, along with other things and since then I've considered trying out the brand myself.

The Kardashian girls are often seen with bright white nails which I've always wondered so did my research before purchasing.

For a student such as myself, £8 for a bottle of nail varnish is pretty steep but I've always thought when it comes to nail varnish you always need to spend that extra bit more to prevent your nails from chipping.

I chose Blanc and noticed how shiny it was and how it glided onto the nail. I only put one coat on because I didn't have enough time for 2 but my nails still looked good with the one coat, although I'll do 2 next time.

With nail art a massive trend at the moment I don't see as many simple styles around but white is a great choice to add a pop to an all black outfit and is also perfect for Spring 2013!

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba looked stunning when she arrived in Paris for Haute Couture Week. Wearing a long tailored black coat, leather black gloves and matching black bag she looked chic and elegant. I also love her pointed shoe boots as well. The red lip and tanned complexion really made her stand out, not to mention she is completely beautiful!

Gorgeous: Jessica accesorised her plain outfit with red lipstick and simple jewelery

Topshop coat

Keep warm in the snow with this textured mint coat from Topshop

Topshop mint green coat is the perfect piece for SS13

I love the mint colour which I've read is set to be a big colour for Spring 2013. This would be ideal to wear with some ankle boots, jeans and a cream fur hat and can be worn when it warms up with a cute spring dress and heels. For the amount of wear you could potentially gain out of this coat I don't think £75 is too pricey.

Big hair

Who doesn't want big gorgeous hair like the Victoria's Secret angels? Since I've ditched the extensions (so 2012) I've gone lighter and I've been after big curly hair. I'm steering away from straighteners/hair dryers, being extra careful when brushing and generally trying to be healthy to get my hair naturally long.

I've been using this product to give my hair body and curls.

I've found that this product works best when my hair is damp. I tip my head upside down, and whilst spraying I scrunch. It smells nice, has lasted me ages and doesn't leave my hair greasy. After a hair cut my hairdresser does it big and curly and will put the hairdryer on a low heat to set the curls. Toni and Guy had a product that looked like this.

I absolutely loved this product. It smelt amazing and I used it in the same way I use the sea salt spray now. The key with these products I've found is not to use too much product. Trust me, I've learnt the hard way. It leaves you with matted hair that's impossible to wash. When I've used so much product I shampoo twice to get rid of all the product.

On Friday I came across this.

The bottle is basically a mix of hairspray, wax, sea salt spray and other ingredients to give you big super sexy hair. I've read on a couple of blogs that people complain that this left their hair clumpy. The trick is to shake the bottle to let the wax and ingredients to mix together. The one and only time I used this I sprayed it directly onto my hair. Do not do this. Don't get me wrong nothing disastrous happens, but two days later you will regret this. Next time I'll spray a bit on my hands and work through my hair. Right now I have big curly hair but some clumps of product. Washing my hair will be fun... Wish me luck.

Destiny's Child re unite!

Yes that's right. Destiny's Child have re united and are set to release a 14 track album called Love Songs. One of their tracks from the album is called 'Nuclear' was produced by Pharrel and set to take become a big hit. I can't wait to hear! I was a massive fan of Destiny's Child back in the day. Not only are they super talented but inspire young girls to be strong, independent women. With endless bitchiness and drama between girls nowadays their seemingly close bond shows that us girls should stick together.

Here's a couple of my favourites (I can't decide on one)

Sally Hansen French Manicure Kit

Luckily I've always had reasonably long nails that are in good condition so never go to salons to get my nails done and prefer painting them myself.

A french manicure is timeless and chic so with nail art really creating a buzz at the moment I decided to go for a classic I haven't tried before so decided to try Sally Hansen's Manicure kit for myself.

It cost me £5.30 from Boots but the night before I looked online and saw on a discount health and beauty website it was on sale for £1.50! Damn. Oh well.

I rely on Sally Hansen's base coat, nail polish remover and their nail strengtheners so knew their kit would be fail safe. It came with mini instructions and guides and really was very simply. First you brush the Natural white above the guide that you have placed under the white of your natural nail. My tip is to ensure that the nail is completely dry before carefully removing the guide, I learnt from experience that trying to remove it too soon and too fast stops you from achieving a nice smooth line.

After the white has dried and the guide has been removed you can paint the whole nail with the pink. It really is as simply as that.

Don't think its too bad for a 1st attempt but my hand is definitely too pasty right now ha!

I rely on Sally Hansen's base coat, nail polish remover and their nail strengtheners so knew their kit would be effective which its proven, definitely going to keep.

Have you tried this yourself? xo

The Great Gasby

I am so excited for this. It's not often I go to the cinema because not only is it a complete rip off but I find it hard to sit still for a long time haha! Yes seriously. Taken from Baz Luhrman's classic story is F. Scott Fitzgerald's adaption of The Great Gasby. Not only is Leonardo Dicaprio one of my favourite actors ever but the 1920's fashion is amazing, the set looks insane. Can't wait for May!

Hair: Rihanna

Rihanna showed off her new hair in Hollywood when she went out partying on Saturday night and debuted her new shoulder length brown extensions with a partly shaved section on one side of her head.

Rihanna is so stunning she could literally not have a hair on her head and would still look beautiful but I love this look.

Put aside her relationship issues, smoking cannabis, whatever. I love RiRi and we have all seen her many different hairstyles over the years but I think this style is one of my favourites, I love it's lighter brown at the ends.

Anything that Rihanna does is an instant hit with young girls I think this style is one to watch in 2013.

Love her cute black and white dress too. Eurgh I love her

Style crush: Cassie Ventura

I've always loved Cassie's style she is so versatile. A couple of years ago she was pretty well known in the music industry and I really like some of her songs but recently seems to more involved in the fashion industry with music mogul, fashion designer, media executive...(the list is endless) boyfriend P Diddy. You may consider that she got her sense of style after she started dating him but when she first appeared on the scene I remember liking her style.

The way she has that capability of pulling off a beautiful elegant dress to red carpet events and can also work  a casual urban look complete with cool gold jewelry with edgy shoes and hats.

When it comes to her hair, in one of her songs 'Long Way To Go' I remember thinking how gorgeous her hair was. It really was my ideal hair, long, shiny and healthy looking. She then shaved the side which I remember caused a lot of controversy.  I would never ever attempt this because I know I could never pull off this look but course it works on her.Like Rihanna she has such a pretty face I think she can work with a lot of styles when it comes to hair and fashion

What do you think? Is Cassie your style crush?
