Luckily I've always had reasonably long nails that are in good condition so never go to salons to get my nails done and prefer painting them myself.
A french manicure is timeless and chic so with nail art really creating a buzz at the moment I decided to go for a classic I haven't tried before so decided to try Sally Hansen's Manicure kit for myself.
It cost me £5.30 from Boots but the night before I looked online and saw on a discount health and beauty website it was on sale for £1.50! Damn. Oh well.
I rely on Sally Hansen's base coat, nail polish remover and their nail strengtheners so knew their kit would be fail safe. It came with mini instructions and guides and really was very simply. First you brush the Natural white above the guide that you have placed under the white of your natural nail. My tip is to ensure that the nail is completely dry before carefully removing the guide, I learnt from experience that trying to remove it too soon and too fast stops you from achieving a nice smooth line.
After the white has dried and the guide has been removed you can paint the whole nail with the pink. It really is as simply as that.
